After many rumors and much anticipation, the wait is over. The new Charger Boats 210 Elite has arrived. It is the by far the best bass boat I’ve ever been in. Between fishing tournaments and filming Fishing University for over 30 years, I have had plenty of time to compare bass boats.

The best word to describe it is solid. The way Charger beefed up the stringer system makes this boat one sure to stand the test of time. With a truly beautiful exterior, its fit and finish is second to none. No only does it ride good, but performs like a sports car.

For over 40 years, Charger boats have been being built by the Dorris family in Missouri. The members of the Dorris family are fishermen. They understand what a great bass boat needs. Most boat companies now are managed by accountants, and people who do not know how much of a difference a small change can make to a fisherman. For example, the new 210 Elite will feature a new balance point. Why? I am running 5 batteries. Three for my trolling motor, one for my electronics, and one for my motor, pumps, etc. I also have pumps and added weight of my Power-Pole®Shallow Water Anchor. This causes too much weight to be toward the back of the boat, and causes most boats to sit in the water with the bow higher than the stern. Charger boats has done a perfect job finding the balance point to make these sit perfectly level. Although this is not a feature of the boat you will be able to readily see, it and other small features help to create the ultimate bass boat. While other manufacturers might overlook this seemingly small detail, Charger noticed the problem and created a perfect solution

My personal Charger Elite 210 is powered by a Honda Marine 250. This V-Tec, 4 stroke provides great fuel mileage and unsurpassed reliability. I am also running 3Raymarine units, one 127 Hybrid Touch, one 128 Hybrid Touch, and a C165. These electronics were originally built for salt water which means they are built heavier, beefier, and ready for any condition mother nature might throw at you. Their clarity is truly insane and to believe it, you really need to compare them to other units on the market. Raymarine’s technology is also top of the line, which makes them simpler to use. To me, it is a game changer that I can see a school of fish 50-100 feet from my boat on my side vision, and by simply touching them on the screen, I now have a way point where they are. I also run two 8 foot Power Pole Blades, which not only turn heads, but are a great tool when fishing shallow water. When you put these additions onto this phenomenal boat, you have the baddest fish catching machine on the water.

This is truly the best bass boat I’ve ever been in, and I want to personally thank the Dorris family, and Charger boats for making bass boating great again.
